Why did you change to a CSA Subscription membership?

Simply put, we want to be transparent about what happens here on the farm.

When you purchase a CSA (aka bouquet subscription) of our flowers for the upcoming season, it’s an investment in supporting your blooms from seed to harvest. When we harvest each week you receive OUR BEST!

Sometimes Mother Nature throws us a curve ball and bouquets aren’t the same sizes each week. We thank you for understanding and loving stems that come in all shapes and sizes!

What is the risk involved in being a CSA member?

Umm, there’s absolutely no risk! To be clear, as a member you share in the abundance of our weekly harvest and the risks that come with farming.

Florida keeps us on our toes. As much as we’d love to avoid crop failure, extreme temperatures, hurricanes, disease, and insects, it happens. If this happens, it means you will not receive specific crops for that season.

We are also thankful to have flower farm friends available if we need to make up for the value of the share by substituting something else in its place. You will receive email updates with alterations to your subscription membership if something changes.

Can I gift a CSA to someone else?

Absolutely! When you check out there will be a form to enter their information. To avoid confusion, we ask you please make separate transactions for multiple CSA gifts.

You should receive an email within 48 hours with a gift certificate to print.

Will I be notified of the pick-up dates?

Our ‘scheduled’ start is listed on each CSA Season, and a confirmation email should be sent 1-2 weeks beforehand.

However, due to Mother Nature, plant germination and success vary. We’ll send out a “green light” for pick-up dates via the email you provided during the CSA purchase. Please make sure you add our email helloflowers@blossomlanefarm.com to your contacts list to prevent updates from being snagged by your spam folder.

What if I’m going to miss a pick-up date?

If you are out of town/sick/tired of flowers, we invite you to keep #sharingjoyandbeauty by gifting that week’s CSA to a friend or neighbor. We have a large CSA program, which involves a lot of scheduling and planning. We are unable to move dates and times or accommodate missed pick-ups.

As a CSA member, you are responsible for picking up the flowers during your pick-up location’s designated hours. If you are sending someone else to pick up your flowers, have them provide your name to the staff at the partner pick-up location.

How should I head home with my bouquet?

For the longest enjoyment of our botanicals, we recommend no longer than 30 minutes in a cool vehicle. Florida weather can be extreme, and exposure can severely affect vase life. We suggest you bring a cup of water for the flowers on the ride home. They will thank you later.

How should I care for my bouquet?

With careful attention, some members have reported up to 2 weeks of enjoying their bouquets! However, please be aware some botanicals have a shorter vase life than others (i.e. - delicate florals like dahlias & poppies).
